2024 Nissan Sentra Is A Great Deal!

In today’s market, the sub-$30k category is pretty slim. The 2024 Nissan Sentra is a stellar entry into that category, with improvements for this model year to keep that going.

The current generation Sentra was introduced in 2020. It offers a lot of technology, usefulness, and economy for its low price. Starting price for the 2024 Sentra is about $21,000 with our nearly fully loaded model ringing in at under $35,000.

Standard equipment in the 2024 Sentra includes forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear automatic braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alerts, and lane-departure warning. And a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Updating to the second-tier SV model adds alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control, an 8-inch infotainment screen, and more. This is probably the sweet spot for most buyers, staying in the mid-$20k range and adding a lot of niceties in the process. Getting a sunroof, leather upholstery, a surround-view camera system, and better Bose stereo upgrade is just a few hundred bucks more.

We drove the top end SR model, which is still relatively low priced, but probably a little much for budget shoppers. We liked all of the add-ons and upgrades, but most of them aren’t really necessary to make the Sentra a great vehicle.

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that outputs 149 horsepower. A new continuously variable transmission (CVT) was added this year. Front-wheel drive is the only option.

Most of the time, the 2024 Sentra is just fine as a daily driver. It struggles a little to get up to freeway speeds and it’s not the quickest out of the light. But it’s very efficient, easy to get into and out of, and it has a sizeable trunk.

Seating in the 2024 Nissan Sentra is better than average for the compact segments. Especially up front. Rear seat passengers will be a bit cramped, but that’s life in a compact vehicle.

Overall, for the money being spent, the 2024 Nissan Sentra is an excellent choice. It’s a great little car with all of the bells and whistles one can expect at its price point. Plus a little. It’s a daily driver that’s truly easy to live with.
